*Wood Dinger Bells have a louder "Bell" sound.  If you are familiar with the Garden Outside the Box metal Garden Art pieces, with the traditional metal dinger, then you know the metal dingers are more about visual art than sound makers.  The ones with Wood Dingers have pleasant louder sounds as well as visual interest.  The larger the bell, the larger the sound.

If you want it to make more noise attach to something that also moves in the wind like a Shepard's hook or tree limb.  For quieter attach to something stable like a house awning.
